 Healing Herbs Flower EssencesPrepared according to the methods of Dr. Bach by Julian Barnard. Julian has been a student of Dr. Bach’s work for over two decades. In 1978 he wrote A Guide to the Bach Flower Remedies, and for a number of years gave many lectures and seminars in cooperation with the Bach Centre. He worked closely with Nickie Murray, who trained him in flower essence preparation. She passed on the knowledge she had received from Nora Weeks about Bach’s method of preparation, and the identification of the essence plants. He continued to deepen his professional work as a flower essence practitioner and teacher, and made a thorough study of Dr. Bach’s life and work. Julian wrote Patterns of Life Force, an analysis of Dr. Bach’s life and the cultural-historical context of flower essence therapy; and compiled the Collected Writings of Edward Bach, a complete anthology of Bach’s written works and public speeches. He then co-authored, The Healing Herbs of Edward Bach, the first thorough investigation of the botanical and environmental qualities of Bach’s original flower remedies. It includes well-chosen excerpts from Bach’s original insights about the plants, descriptions of the essence qualities, portraits of the wildflowers and their habitats, full-color photographs of the essence plants, and thoughtful comments on how and why they carry the properties ascribed to them.
